Cooking With Dr. Zaius: Patrami On Rye
If you are making a pastrami on rye with munster cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, don't use mustard and mayonnaise. Instead, use use lots of Kraft Ranch Dressing! It's awesome.
Two slices of white bread, that's 35 grams of carbs easy, which kind of defeats the purpose of using muenster cheese. Wrap that pastrami in the lettuce, roll it up like lumpia or egg rolls or something. Or you'll look like you did in "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" when you were in the sauna with that big fat gorilla.
well, at least you're having lettuce and tomatoes for some nutrition. The rest, sorry to say, is crap, Dr.Z. But buon appetito! and kudos on the photo!
I'm glad you've chosen to use your powers of bloginfluence for good rather than evil. You made me go to the kitchen and make a pastrami on rye sammich. Against my will.
Teresita: You say that like looking like I did in "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" is bad thing! ;o)
Devilham: I know how you feel. I felt bad departing ways with mustard for a sandwich as well. But Kraft Ranch Dressing is awesome on pastrami on rye! ;o)
Zencomix: Pickles? Bah! ;o)
The Ardent Thread: Ack! You have a BANNED SUBSTANCE LIST in your kitchen? Just like HITLER! ;o)
The Bass Guy: If you were speaking the truth, I would believe you. But that's just me. Sadly you are not. ;o)
Melvin The Barbarian: I love butter! ;o)
Silver Rock: Ha! I have bent you to my will! ;o)
Sunshine: Two years since you have had pastrami on rye? That's two years too many! ;o)
The Rev. Paperboy: Kraft Ranch Dressing is awesome on pastrami on rye. Take a walk on the wild side. ;o)

ReplyDeleteI actually twitched when I read the bit about Kraft Ranch. It's on the banned substance list in my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteBut so is white bread. I'm allergic to EVERYTHING AMERICAN, apparently.

ReplyDeleteit's a matter of taste, but personally, I'd ditch the lettuce and tomato and grill the thing in a little butter.
