Previously I have discussed the Media Cliché of "Men Seldom Make Passes at Girls Who Wear Glasses." Today I submit another familiar cultural stereotype created by men to depict women as helpless. Like the commonplace prosaicisms of a women tied to the railroad tracks or sinking into quicksand, I present Science Fiction Women In Bottles, and the Creepy Men Who Love Them.
