This is even worse than when they killed Superman. In the comics you can recover from death, but marriage could upset the delicate balance of the Archie love triangle. That is unless they develop some kind of Brangelina parallel. Poor Betty, I knew she was destined to be Jennifer Aniston!
Jang-chub Ozer: Ack! I never thought of that. Gosh, she'll be heartbroken! Still, in her saddened state she might consider a certain orangutan theological leader from the future...
Randal Graves: Indeed! It shall be a terrorist wedding!
Übermilf: I agree. And he uses the library computer to download porn. What a goober!
Jon the Intergalactic Gladiator: That is indeed possible! Maybe it was the extra pickles...
Kelly the little black dog: Now that would be interesting! What would Mr. Lodge say?
Matty Boy: Ack! And I thought that all Moose was interested in was Greco-Roman wrestling!
Sleestak: That would be a twist! I wonder what would happen if Mary Jane and Gwen were at wedding...
Lisa: It is quite shocking, isn't it?
Liberality: Ack! I shall go take a look forthwith, and attack that meme!
Steve: I agree! Archie doesn't deserve either one of them.
Zirgar: No! I don't even like this infamy when it is sitting down!
Stony: I agree. Veronica is is a harpy, but Betty is divine!
Masked Liberal Evangelist: Ha! I am not sure that gay marriage has spread to comic books yet!
susan: In the early Archie comics, Jughead HATED girls. I'm just sayin'... Distributorcap: Only if you have plenty of ink and paper.

ReplyDeleteRight before National 9/11 Day? Why does Archie hate America?
ReplyDeleteWho the hell wants to marry that freckled freak anyways?
ReplyDeleteHe's a knob.
Maybe it's all just Jughead's crazy dream after he ate a giant cheeseburger.
ReplyDeleteI thought Betty was picking Veronica!
ReplyDeleteIn a real shocker, he will propose to Midge, and Moose will kill them both before turning the gun on himself.
ReplyDeleteLet's see. The kids have been in high school for 68 years, I wonder if the marriage will happen before I reach retirement age two decades from now?
Maybe it's evil archie from the old Archie Meets the Punisher comic.
ReplyDeleteI'm too shocked by this news to even attempt to say something clever.
ReplyDeleteOh, I thought Veronica was after Betty!
ReplyDeleteI've tagged you for an I,Splotchy story virus if you are up for it.
i vote for Betty and Veronica running away together as well
ReplyDeleteThis infamy must not stand!
ReplyDeleteVeronica's too stuck up. Betty can live with freckles.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be his longtime male companion, "Jughead" Jones.
ReplyDeleteI always thought he and Jughead would be perfect life companions too. Well, actually they have been for decades, haven't they?
ReplyDeletecan comic book characters have kids?

I'm not sure that Archie would be that interested in Jughead - however his Reggie rivalry is just rife with latent homo erotic sexual tension!
ReplyDeleteYou may be right! I think that Freud would have something to say about that.
ReplyDeleteBah, Archie is marrying Jughead. And I'll comfort the grieving Betty.
