I do find it refreshing to see Tiger take responsibility for what he did. In his apology he said that he and his wife were beginning to take stock of the damage done by his bad choices. If it was a career4 politician, he would have had a press conference, with his wife next to him wearing a pasted-on smile, while he said, "These allegations are outrageous!" Of course they're outrageous. Sleeping with forty women while married to another is outrageous.
