MSNBC's Olbermann 'articulate'
September 24, 2006
"An open letter to MSNBC
"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act" -- George Orwell
"I used to consider myself a moderate although I'm detecting that the "center point" on this line is shifting far to the right as conservative pundits monopolize the media and disregard the left as paranoid and unpatriotic. George W. Bush and his staff have irrefutably commited numerous crimes worthy of impeachment, but that consideration is scoffed at by the right as a paranoid exaggeration by crazed lunatics. Yikes ... who wants to be hoarded into that grouping?"
"Although I usually hide in the back of the audience as a subdued observer, I have the overwhelming urge to applaud ... no, to give a standing ovation to MSNBC for broadcasting Keith Olbermann & Co.'s most informative, entertaining, and fearless newscast and commentary on television today. He's obviously fed up, but at the same time he remains exceedingly informed and articulate. Keith Olbermann is a rational intellect. Too many of his counterparts are boisterous egotists. Thank you for making him available. I talk him up wherever I go and I'm realizing that he's already fast garnering the recognition he deserves." Marty Drumm, Evergreen Park
