Nancy Pelosi is pulling strings at the White house

There is mounting evidence that the attempts to undermine Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Syria were co-ordinated by Bush deputy National Security Adviser Elliott Abrams, at the command of Dick Cheney. Cheney's daughter, Liz Cheney also wrote a nice little hatchet job for her father as well.

Apparently Liz didn't read the report of the Iraq study group either. Funny she should lambast someone else for their lack of historical knowledge.

Here's another fact she conveniently overlooks: When the bombs started to fly across the Israel/Lebanon border and Bush was caught saying 'shit' with his mouth full, the rest of that sentence he uttered was, and I quote "You see,the irony is what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it's all over."

There it is. Bush admitting that the key player in the resolution of middle east quagmire is Syria.

I have more problems with Cheney's comments. How irresponsible is it for a former United States official to be openly accusing Syria of acts for which she has but the flimsiest of proof, which amounts to 'couldn't have happened without Syria's knowledge'?

I am no fan of Syria. But I am a fan of diplomacy and not shuttling international diplomatic overtures for the chance to (try to) score a political point at home.

Completely irresponsible.

Allow me to be the shallow one...

That Pelosi is adorable!

But seriously...
She should be president.

Jess Wundrun: An excellent opinion piece on the subject, Mr. Wundrun! This paragraph seems to be coming from two directions, though:

"I have more problems with Cheney's comments. How irresponsible is it for a former United States official to be openly accusing Syria of acts for which she has but the flimsiest of proof, which amounts to 'couldn't have happened without Syria's knowledge'?"

Becca: Thank you! She looks very "Girls in Charge," don't you think? Yes, seriously... She should be president!
