You know what the difference between Democrats and Republicans is? Finding out about this before it happens, rather than finding out about it a decade after it happened. I hope that's some consolation. ;)
Welcome to Illinois politics! There is no real difference here between Republicans and Democrats (except that occasionally the GOP here will produce some far-right religious zealot--there's no left wing equivalent on the Dem side). They all love the money.
