On April 15th, FOX News' "fair and balanced" network utilized it's considerable promotional resources to promote the Fox News 'Taxed Enough Already (TEA) Party' rallys.
In a gesture of unprecedented participation by a news organization in a political protest, Fox news personalities broadcast live as keynote speakers and hosts at various tea party events alongside several Republican politicians.
Of course FOX News and their 'non-sponsorship' sponsorship had little to do with the formation of the Tea Party events [ 1
]. They merely ran promotion and public relations.
The principle organizers the local Tea Party© events were actually the lobbyist-run think tanks Americans for Prosperity

], and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich's American Solutions
