One might hope that coming clean would be next to Goodling-ness

If only congress coud figure out the real reason behind Monica Goodling's unusual testimony... Crooks and Liars

Hmm... you said:

"Is that actually a Drop Dead Fred reference? Really?"

Which could mean:

1.) You are happy to see a reference to the film Drop Dead Fred. (Yay!)
2.) You are teasing me for using a reference to the film Drop Dead Fred. (Boo!)
3.) You are trying to say that my reference to the film Drop Dead Fred is really a mask to indicate some subtle underlying inner-meaning that is not readily apparent. (Huh?)

Add to this mix the fact that I probably ought to be extra nice to you because:

a.) I love your blog,
b.) You are pregnant,
c.) You were kind enough to feature one of my posts about Media Clichés on your blog.

My only logical response that I can make is:

i.) "I am so glad that you like Drop Dead Fred," or
ii.) "I am so very sorry that you don't like Drop Dead Fred," or
iii.) "Drop Dead Fred is indeed a euphemism used to indicate some subtle underlying inner-meaning that is not readily apparent. (I just have no idea what.)"

And I would never, ever end my response to you using the sloppy device of pulling some quote from the film and inserting it for cheap dramatic effect. You know what I mean... I would never say something like, "I am a loner, a crazy wide eyed loner on a doomed mission to Venus to battle with the 3 headed mega-beast, but on the way I caught cornflakes disease." That would just be childish of me to do something like that.

"So, who's up for snot flicking?"
