94% of corporations pay less than 5% of their income in taxes

Hollywood actor and former K Street lobbyist Fred Thompson has recently said that if elected president, he would like to lower taxes for large corporations. It has been reported that in exchange for this favor, the corporations have offered to let him be the shoe. Read all about it in this brief article at Working For Change, via Oliver Willis.

He can't be the shoe! Evil Spock breaks the hind legs off the dog, and stuffs it into the shoe to make the ultimate piece!

I am so embarrassed when ever this blow hard says that he is from TN. If the Dems do their job right, then his first name will be 'Bush" and not Fred anymore.

Evil Spock: I am afraid that this one game of Monopoly that you will not be allowed to play at. Anyway, why would you want to cripple a dog to make a freak-of-science monopoly piece? Does your power lust and disregard for others spill into the realm of board game tokens? Where does it stop? I always play the top hat. Very regal.

Dr. Monkerstein: I am sure that TN is still a nice place, despite Fred Thompson origins. It is really frightening that he is even considered a viable candidate, although I am not sure that I could call any of the Republicans running for president viable candidate!

I fear that if Fred Thompson is elected, his loyalty to big corporations wil not be our only concern. I am crossing my fingers, but you were also right the first time - it's pretty gross.
