Like BAC, I was been watching the "Ape" movies on Encore. Not seen the 3rd one in years. Was struck by how accurately SciFi pegged what would happen to the gentle Cornelius and Zera in 'modern day' America: abducted and squirreled away to a secret location, then drugged and interrogated--then shot. In spite of the (excusably) hokey FX and (only occasionally) creeky/dated script, I found the film rather powerful and depressing.
