The Real Story In Iowa

While the media is busy talking about Huckabee's welfare diet plan for the nation and Britney Spears' surprise visit to a well-padded cuckoo's nest, this is the story that nobody is talking about:

Democratic participation in last night's Iowa caucus was more than 2 to 1 compared to Republican participation.

Let me say that again...

Democratic participation in last night's Iowa caucus was more than 2 to 1 compared to Republican participation.

How ya like 'them apples?

UPDATE:

356,000 total turnout

Percentage of total vote:

24.5% Obama
20.5% Edwards
19.8% Clinton
11.4% Huckabee

Will they still use e-voting in a lot of places on November 4? Okay, then. ;-)

If I were a GOP voter, I'd probably want to stay home too, considering the absolute jokes for candidates they have this time around.

1. I'm glad Obama won the caucus and Edwards came second.

2. Dr. Evil has decided not to retire....

Thank you for putting this whole deal in layman's terms because I would not necessarily have thought to see it that way, but I will be taking a statistics class this next semester, so we shall see what I become able to generate and, oh, I think that I can, if I try, make this one, huge, run-on sentence even longer still.

Station Agent: Don't taunt the donkey, he is already mad about what the Republicans have done to this country.

anna: It's about time we got some air to breathe. To the light! And curse the pain.

Splotchy: Well, the elephant looks pretty human, as well. I think it is a were-donkey and a were-elephant. The gun must have silver bullets!

Randal Graves: I have exactly the same fear. I have several links in the lower right about last two stolen elections.

Comrade Kevin: I actually feel sorry for my Republican friends. The just can't feel good about any Republican that is running.

Distributorcap: The media is a joke. A bad joke.

Dr. Evil: A wise choice. Dr. Monkerstein and I were planning on teasing you mercilessly!

Freida Bee: It is just that the media did really cover this aspect of the story. The just went on and on about Huckabee and Britney and blah, blah, blah. Clearly this is the real story.

Westcoast Walker: Your welcome! What a great blog you have, Matthew! I shall have to blogroll you.

Dr. Monkerstein: We can only hope. It looks good so far!
