"That Girl" Strip Tease
No time for blogging today! Ms. Gregarious is busy raising voter expectations on many important issues, and I'm off to the store to get some mustard and ketchup! In the meantime you can watch this swell video of "That Girl" (Marlo Thomas) doing a strip tease! (Via MWB's World.) What? You don't remember the show? Well, here is a video of the musical introduction to the television series.

Somewhere, someplace Phil Donahue is all hot and bothered.
She shoulda flashed Dad a boobie. A real liberated woman woulda.
(Gawd how I hate laugh-tracks!)
There is so much that I could say but I think I missed that episode of that girl but I really like it.
I think the snake charmer lives at my house.
Somewhere Danny Thomas spins in his grave.
I used to love watching "That Girl" when I was young! Thanks for posting it, I got a laugh out of it!
I'm with you on that Michael. I remember seeing That Girl when I was a kid and the laugh tracks bugged me then, too. It sounds human, of ourse, but not quite real. Plus it's inserted into places to remind us that that particular part is supposed to be funny.
That was such a favorite show of mine as a kid. And since I lived along the same railroad line as That Girl did, I was fairly certain I was headed for the same madcap NYC adventures.
It happened, but maybe not as planned. At least I did not have to eat the ketchup soup at The Automat!
And... what laugh track? (hahahahahahahbbbbbwwwwaaaaahhhhhhhaaaa!)
BTW- Germaine was smiling a little too wryly at those weiners! Did not think the tubesteak was her thing, but maybe you have convinced her otherwise?
I'm leaning more and more to throwing the season box sets in my netflix queue.
It's charmingly addictive.
I wish I could make weiners do that!!
I've got to go style my hair like Marlo's.
Joining the multitudes who used to watch That Girl, I don't remember that clip either! But then, back when the show was on, I thought she was attractive. She looks so grotesque in this I didn't even recognize her. Oh well. None of the women I thought attractive then look good to me now anyway. Well... maybe the I Dream of Jeannie genie.
