Republican National Committee: "Putting the Fun Back in FUNdraising!"

[ 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 ]

A confidential Republican National Committee fundraising presentation delivered by RNC Finance Director Rob Bickhart to top donors and fundraisers outlines in very simple terms the Republican's fundraising stratagy in the upcoming election, "Save the country from trending toward Socialism!"

This page calls the present administration "The Evil Empire," and pictures Obama as the Joker from Batman, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as Cruella DeVille and Senate Majority Leaders Harry Reid as Scooby Doo.

The page that I found most amusing strongly advocates the use of "Tchochkes!" to help gain traction with donors. For those that are unfamiliar with the term, Tchochkes refer to those crappy t shirts, logo bearing pens, key fobs and other promotional freebies that are dispensed at conventions and trade shows.

Dear Doctor, as usual you're spot-on.

I have an idea for you and your friend at Man-Eating Cheesburger. Lately I have been getting really hammered by the "center" on how liberals (and cons) are so polarized that nothing can possibly get done unless we see a "center" where the business of government satisfies both parties. Well... I think we both know how well that works.

Here's the idea: craft an app where one can pick an issue of the day which is then presented on a line where the user can slide an arrow or something to pick how centrist they want to be. Then, they get the results in another window or pop-up. Example: lobbying - how many lobbyists are acceptable or how much money should they be able to inject into the political process? Present the extremes of 0 and infinity, let the user slide the arrow across the gradiated line and when they have decided on a middle - show them the results: X number of congressmen were bought for x amount of dollars resulting in no legislation on (whatever).. or something like that. I know it needs to be simple and you guys are really good at boiling things down to their common denominators.
I think we need to address the so-called 'center' with an app like this to demonstrate that most of the time there really is no center, just right and wrong. Just my opinion but I thought you might get a kick out of it. -g

What is Scooby Doo doing in the evil empire? Is it because he and his gang always expose small time capitalists' get rich schemes and efforts to use fear and fake supernaturalism to deceive the local populace?

Randal Graves: Hate is bad. I hate hate! ;o)

Susan: I would like to help them along with a little push. ;o)

Greendayman: That's a very interesting idea, and I have talked it over with Derk the Jerk, but we would need to learn MySQL first to do that. :o(

On the plus side, you can do something very like that - I used polldaddy.com for this post, and I think that you could tweak it to do something very similar. ;o)

ThoughtCriminal: I know! I love Key Fobs!! Where do I sign up? ;o)

Masked Evangelist: Ha! Good line. Scooby Doo is one of my heroes!
