Beware! Take Cover! It's the end of Daylight Saving Time as we know it!

Citizens, beware! Daylight Saving Time as we know it will end this Sunday at 2:00 a.m. local standard time, which (through the dark technology of time travel) shall become 1:00 a.m. local daylight time!

When a time change is actually occurring, take shelter immediately. Put together a kit of emergency supplies. Determine in advance where you will take shelter during time change. (Storm cellars or basements provide the best protection.)

If underground shelter is not available, go into an interior room or hallway on the lowest floor possible. Stay clear of clocks and devices with internal chronometers, such as VCRs and some microwaves. Stay away from windows, doors and outside walls. Go to the center of the room. Stay away from corners because they attract time ripples and temporal distortions.

Parts of Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana are not affected by the ravages of Daylight Saving Time. Other areas in the U.S. that are spared the horrific effects of Daylight Saving Time are Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands.

Final tip: It is NOT Daylight Savings time--there's no "s" after Saving. It's Daylight Saving Time, singular.

I think parts of Indiana don't change time.

In another age, I was working shift work. If I was on midnight shift during the spring time change and only had a 7 hour shift, when the fall time change came, I be on midnight shift again and have a 9 hour shift. Don't know if that still holds true now as they have changed the start and end dates several times since then.

Note that the portion in Indiana in the Eastern time zone is a darker shade of green, and that portions of Arizona are a darker shade of pink. These shaded areas do not change.

The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Oops, wrong post. HAPPY DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME? Is this the real time or the fake time? Is anything real? Why are we here?

When I worked the midnight shift at a hotel they always paid only 7 hours in Spring and 9 hours in the Fall. They figured, in a year, it balanced out.

My body clock loves the time change *back* to the way it's supposed to be.

The government came in and messed up our lives and our bodies!

I feel better when I can arise from a good night's sleep at 6 o'clock in the morning :)

India is on the half-hour off plan. So when it's 6:00 p.m here, it's 4:30 a.m. there. One of us should suck up and move a half hour forward or back.

And no final "s" on daylight saving(s) time? That hurts my ears.

In this day of the 24/7 world, where the workday is not affected by whether there's sunlight, why do we jet-lag the entire world twice a year?

Especially as studies have shown there is no energy savings?

My understanding is that it has everything to do with the retail folks and the tourism industry.

My understanding is that this is to show that Government has more power than Mother Nature.

I heard it was all done because a railroad tycoon wanted to play golf later into the evening. See? We can always find ways to blame the rich.

I really want to put the "s" on the end of "saving"......
It hurts me physically not to!
