I have a dream too - that McCain becomes irrelevant and forgotten!

"Heh, heh, mission was accomplished, I got everything I wanted, heh, heh. Well, except a sit-n-spin. Pickles, do they still make those?"

But haven't you heard? Dana Perino explained to us that the "Mission Accomplished" banner did not, in fact refer to the war. Instead, it refers to the fact that the Administration had successfully completed its mission to hang that particular banner up before the photo op took place.

Hey, think about it. It's one of the /only/ deadlines or benchmarks the Bush administration has ever met. Credit where credit is due, I guess.

I don't know but if I was one of those sailors and McCain tried pulling that landing on the carrier in a jet stunt I might spend that time hiding in a lifeboat wearing a life jacket.

McCain doesn't have a good record at that sort of thing.

The good thing about a McCain presidency is that we'll be able to use that banner over and over and over. For oh, say, 100 years. And in Iran, too! Who says republicans don't recycle?

If by accomplished it meant that we were in a war without end, a military occupation ensuring limitless contracts for corporate warmongers, and the cementing in place of a theocracy here in America, then goddamn it's Mission Accomplished!
