You know what? Anybody can be rich. It takes a real elitist to be poor.

He's so arrogant!

Nice.

It seems to me that if you figure in joint/ spousal net worth that thing would be even more skewed towards Obama.

What this demonstrates is that elitism, or at least the perception of elitism, has little to do with net worth. How else do you explain Obama's inability to connect with blue collar voters?

With all that money, the least they could do is offer to buy our votes. Or, is that what the stimulus bribe checks are for... on our own dime though?

Ah, the tragedy of being the elite, when there are others who are more elite.

Sadly, none of them would ever be in my neighborhood.

You would think that our media would've picked up on a story like this!

How utterly amazing that they do nothing to dispel myths, yet everything to stoke imaginary controversies!

Fourth estate, indeed.

Now it can boil down to whether or not Scrooge McDuck, Richie Rich, or Willy Wonka is the true representative of the working class.

Jess Wundrun: Yep! It's rhetoric like your statement that is keeping the media in poodle clips and doggie treats!

Dean Wormer: How dare he be poor. It's so ethnic!

BAC: You are right! The perception of elitism is falsely generated by the media and those that would promote such ridiculous sillyness. ;o)

Freida Bee: Somehow you end up paying for your vote one way or the other. **sigh**

Omnipotent Poobah: It would seem that OBama needs to marry a heiress or a former politician. ;o)

MWB: It makes you wonder about the eliteness test for the White House. (Does it involve caviar? Ick! That tastes like fish eggs!)

Angry Ballerina: Indeed!

FranIAm: Yes, I thought it was interesting.

Angry Ballerina: I just hope it isn't caviar. I hate that crap!

Übermilf: The "Fourth Estate" deals only in reused scripts from the Twilghlight Zone, unfortunately.

Distributorcap: Yes, I saw that. It is alluded to in the links to the CNN articles. [ 1, 2, 3 ]

Dmarks: Oh, oh! I wanna ride in the Glass Elevator of TRUTH!

Hey Zaius!

My name is Charlie Hoehn (and I'm a human that will hopefully be spared). I'm working with Ramit Sethi of iwillteachyoutoberich.com and he pointed me to this post.

Couple of things I wanted to ask you:

1. Ramit just put out a private video on automating your finances and we wanted to send it to you as a thank-you.
2. His new book is coming out, and for the people who pre-order the book (it's about $10) in the next few days, they'll get 6 chapters by PDF before anyone else, plus entry into a private community with premium content. Can I send you some more info and the link to the video? If yes, please drop me a line as soon as possible -- charhoehn (at) gmail.com

Thanks,

Charlie

P.S. Hail Zaius!
