D'oh! D'OH!!

That's the WORST thing I've heard all day!

Of course, it's only 6am, but I've a feelin' it'll hold up fairly well.

;)

Give 'em this much (and no more): The state GOP announced they would donate the money they took from that merchant for a table at their convention to flood victims.

And that he needn't even *try* to get a table in future.

Give 'em that much (and no more)

ok will give them that much. but you well know the GOP has used thinly vailed raceism to appeal to bigots since the Reagan years. How they do it this time and avoid having it come back to bite them on the backside will be very interesting.

MichaelBains: It's freakin' amazing, isn't it?

Ben Varkentine: Hi, Ben! I haven't heard from you in a while. Perhaps you are right. It's about time that the GOP did SOMETHING for flood victims somewhere. I'll give them that much, and dirty look.

Spook: Ha! After this election, they won't have a backside left to speak of.

"Callate chachalaca" -shut up magpie- is a phrase that a candidate to the presidence (2006) "order" to de former presidet of México (those days Vicente Fox) and well, the people goes mad, ´cause you can tell any person almost anything but not to shut up.

Ha! That's interesting. I didn't know about that.

President Bush and the Republicans have been saying a variation of that for years! They keep trying to tell the American people that if they don't shut up, then they are not real American patriots, that there is no room for dissent in his 'war against terrorism'.

"You're either with us or against us in the fight against terror," President Bush, November 6, 2001

If Bush was really fighting terrorism, wouldn't we have caught Bin Laden by now, instead of screwing around in Iraq?
