The Purity Test

This might be indicative of some kind of shift in the GOP stratagy. Republican state party chairs unanimously voted to kill a "purity test" that would have denied funding candidates who do not uphold right-wing conservative values.

All of the recent Republican wins (VA Gov, NJ Gov, MA Senate) were by moderate Repugs who FAIL the purity tests! The Repugs are not as dumb as many Democrats like to imagine they are.

The US House race in Upstate NY had all the purity test, Palinites, extreme conservatives supporting it, and it FAILED.

I just hope that the Republicans begin to act more like Captain Tupolev from the "Hunt For Red October": "Right now, Captain Tupolev is removing the safety features on all his weapons. He won't make the same mistake twice."

...and less like Ramius.

I think that there are going to be a lot of pissed off people that will be denied funding. :P

Not too many "pure People" left. ... or right. :D

Seeing Eye Chick: If only NASA could send Sarah Palin to Mars. Or Venus. Or at least the Moon! ;o)

Sunshine: Good play on words! I liked that. ;o)

Teresita: Oh, puh-leez. ;o)
